The Anna Bergman Experience

“Yes, you have seen singers who were beautiful, who were smart, who were sassy- but very few who were all three.

Yes, you’ve heard singers who sang with a hint of Deanna Durbin’s purity, a soupcon of Edith Piaf’s pathos, a touch of Jeanette MacDonald’s bravura- but very few who had all three.

But that’s not the point of Anna Bergman.

I have never seen a singer more possessed by her material. There is a blazing honesty in everything she sings that touches your heart. And very soon you find she is inside it.

The song is her.”
